This forms the top right corner of a four-plate map of Aberdeen and Banffshire. It was first published in 1826 and is drawn at the scale of 1 inch to every 1.5 miles. Originally published individually, it later featured in John Thomson's 'Atlas of Scotland'. A tremendous amount of detail has been included on this map including place names, forestry, rivers, roads and mountains.
