Description
Attractive little map by Alain Manesson-Mallet (1630-1706) shows America's eastern coast from Chesapeake Bay to Canada's Nova Scotia (Cape Breton Island) and Newfoundland. The coastline is speculative at best and is compressed into a very small scale, but the map has a decorative title cartouche in bottom left surrounded by a large scroll motif and in top left is a drawing of a native Indian couple with a child.
